We knew it was coming. More Americans say the internet is a primary news source today.
According to the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, 40% say they get most of their national and international news online – that’s up from just 24% in September 2007.
The study indicates the internet is now the second-most popular news format for national and international news. Television remains #1 at 70%, but down 4% from last year.
The graph tells a fascinating story.
Bottom line – it’s tougher and tougher to deliver a consistent, frequent message to people interested in their local, state, federal “communities.”
Sgt, I thought you had comments turned off to prevent the trolls from responding?
Anyway, regular readers of The City Wire already know this!
Keep up the good work – this is a very important source of information for our area.
Oh, and Merry Christmas!
