Fort Smith Historical Society wins awards

The Fort Smith Historical Society brought home four first place awards from the 2008 Arkansas Historical Association competition.

  • Best local or county journal
  • Best article “Escape to America – 1975, by Melanie Speers Wiggins
  • Best Autobiography by Orville Bittle
  • Best Use of graphics
