Governor Mike Beebe and members of the public enthusiastically endured sweltering temperatures to help celebrate 3 jobs-related announcements this morning:
QualServ Corp is moving its corporate headquarters from Kansas City, Missouri to Fort Smith. Total employment is 400+.
Pradco – a fishing lure manufacturer – will build a new $21 million manufacturing plant at Chaffee Crossing. The Fort Smith company employs 150 people.
Umarex USA will also build a new 100,000+ square foot facility at Chaffee Crossing. The facilities will employ 60 to 120 people over the next 3 years.
All totaled, today’s announcements either retain or create nearly 700 jobs.
